What is Starting with Simple Author on-your-own digital lesson?

In four mini-trainings, you can learn the basics of Simple Author to create an engaging lesson you can immediately use to introduce yourself, your course, or your program to others!

Each module will be less than 15 minutes to do if you aren’t building along or 15 to 60 minutes if you are building along, which we hope you’ll want to do!

How do I start the training?

Here are the steps to get into the Starting with Simple Author on-your-own digital lesson. Please use Chrome as your browser.

1. [Skip of you have an Infiniscope account!] Join Infiniscope. Before doing any of the modules, you need to sign up to be an Infiniscope member if you’re not one, so you can have access to the tools during the training. Just complete this form. It takes just a minute!
   1. Check your email. This may take a day for the admin to approve your request. (Don’t attempt to log in until you receive confirmation!)
2. Once confirmed, sign in to Infiniscope.org
3. Make sure Educator Mode is switched to On.

1. Open the Tools menu next to the profile icon.

1. Select Argos. This will open a new tab.

1. Open this link - https://app.argos.education/sections/join/st2yp
2. Enroll in the course. (And confirm you are not a robot!)
3. Select Go to Course.
4. Select Open on the right side of the screen for Module 1.
5. Select Start Attempt and go through Module 1!
   1. Surveys will be peppered throughout the modules to collect your thoughts and feedback. I’m actively tweaking things to make it better – so your feedback will help a lot of folks.
