Tips for including video.

Video Component

When adding a video component, it is recommended to fill the available empty screen space where possible.

Here is an example of a video alongside content. The alignment grid in the background for reference.

For videos that are longer

Video Background

For videos that take up most of the screen, you can apply a dark image behind it to fill in the gaps. Below is an example how adding a background improves the overall aesthetic and focus. The alignment grid has been added as a reference.

1. To create a background for video, download the image below, and then upload it to your lesson screen. Once uploaded, the image will always be available in your lesson. You only have to upload media once per lesson!

1. Scale the image as needed. In this case, the height matched the video’s height, but the width extends to the screen padding.

1. And that is pretty much it! When and how you apply the background is up to you. Use your best judgement.
