1. Make sure you have Flowchart selected on the left. Select a screen from the flowchart and navigate to the Left Panel to view the existing rules for that screen.

1. Choose one of the variables in the rule to edit.

The first variable is the condition to be met, and the second is the screen that will appear next.

1. This will bring up a rules editor with dropdown menus for each variable. Click the arrow next to the first variable to see options for the condition to be met.

1. Choose which condition will trigger the adaptive pathway.

1. The second dropdown menu will give you a list of available screens in the lesson. Select one.

1. When you have made your choices, click Done to save the rule.

1. Click Add Rule at the bottom of the panel to add additional rules as you need!

<aside> ✅ You must designate a pathway for each possibility. When you have designated a path for each possibility, the icon next to the screen name will turn green.

<aside> ⚠️ If the rules are incomplete, the icon will turn yellow, and you will be prompted to complete setting up rules for the screen.
