Your tour as a default will have thumbnails across the bottom that the viewer can click on to hop from one panorama to another. However, while this has its uses, the thumbnails can break some of the immersive nature of virtual tours.

One way to make them more immersive would be to remove the thumbnails and connect panoramas with the panorama hotspot. The next two sections show you how.

Disabling Panorama Thumbnails

  1. Navigate to the Panoramas View.
    1. If you are in Editor View, select Project in the top menu
    2. If you are in Projects View, select the thumbnail of the project you want to edit.

  1. Check the box to disable the thumbnails.

Connecting Panoramas with Hotspots

To do this, you need to have more than one panorama in your project. Let’s say we want to connect Pano “Duck Pond” to Pano “Blue Tent”, and both have been added to the project already.

  1. Go to the panorama you want to connect to another panorama.

Untitled

  1. Choose where you want the pano hotspot to be and double-click in that space.

<aside> 👉 If possible, put the hotspot near a visual connection. For instance, the blue tent is at the end of this path, so the hotspot that will link to Pano “Blue Tent” will be placed at the end of that path in Pano “Duck Pond.”

  1. Select Panorama from the dropdown.

Untitled

  1. Name the pano hotspot. This does not rename the pano. You can put in anything!

  2. Then choose which pano they should go to when they click that hotspot.

<aside> ❗ This example is currently a ONE-WAY path! The viewer can go from Pano “Duck Pond” to Pano “Blue Tent”, but once they go to Pano “Blue Tent” they will be stuck! Another pano hotspot would need to be added in Pano “Blue Tent” to get back. Why? Well, this gives you a lot of power when designing paths, you can craft a web of paths among your panoramas to lead your viewers intentionally one way and/or create options for them to choose from!
